A cosmetologist, a teacher, a brick and mortar store owner and a substance abuse prevention professional...what do they all have in common? They’re all women who chose to create a better life for themselves and their families by building a business with Shaklee.

Tune in to hear their powerful stories on Project MAHMA  this Saturday.

Our host is Cindy, from Kansas. From a Cosmetologist to State Director for a non-profit, Cindy has a passion for helping others achieve what they want. But a life altering event on 9/11 turned her focus toward family and what's really important in life. Then she found Shaklee, which proved to be the vehicle that helped her spend more time with family by working from home while also helping two sons with college expenses.

Joining Cindy on Saturday are Maria, TX; Elena, NM; and Linda, KS

Maria was considering going back to work in the corporate world when she was presented with the Shaklee opportunity. Now, six years later, she's celebrating another successful year full-time with Shaklee! Maria's background is varied and interesting. She has a BBA, spent seven years at an Architectural firm, and worked in Substance Abuse Prevention as well as Product Sales for the Girl Scouts. She is very passionate about health and wellness and is currently a Reiki Master Practitioner. She is committed to removing barriers in health and well-being so that others shine at whatever they pursue in life.

Elena was an elementary teacher and mother of two daughters when she began her Shaklee business in 1979!  As a single mom with no child support, she decided that she wanted to serve the world in the ‘bigger classroom’ of life.  As Dr. Shaklee said, ‘Our life is what we think to make it.” And she decided that her deepest fear was not that she was inadequate, but that maybe she contained within herself the ability to live each day to the fullest and that ‘playing small’ did not serve her daughters and the world. Elena’s 35 years career with Shaklee as an Executive Coordinator has been focused on helping her downline build beliefs and skill competencies.

At 50 years young, Linda had always been self-employed, but she was running out of options. She and her husband Roy had been notified by their corporate partner that the merchant store they owned would be closing. Add to that, her husband had quit his job after losing much of his vision from diabetes complications. The Shaklee income opportunity came along right when they needed it, giving them a full-time income working part-time.*

The Secret of Basic H® in Your Garden

Summertime is when all of us want to enjoy the beauty and bounty of our gardens – but who wants to spend all their time taking care of them ? Basic-H® has been used for years by farmers and home gardeners alike to reduce the amount of watering time, improve the quality of the soil, and treat for pests. Even in those areas where Basic-H® Soil Conditioner is not available (Pennsylvania, for instance), you can still get great results by using Basic-H®, Basic-G ® and Liqui-Lea ®. The best information we’ve found on using Basic-H in the garden has come from MaryAnn and Mike Mizicko of Vienna, Ohio. Mike is a very successful truck farmer – and Basic-H is his secret! Be careful to note special circumstances, such as whether to spray on foliage, to apply only to the soil around plants, avoid spraying on blooming trees or plants, and other restrictions. Basic-H is a surfactant, not a fertilizer, so don’t use one concentration for all uses, or you will kill the plants you love. Soil P...

Testimony: ADD

I'm an adult with ADD but was never diagnosed. Scanning my old report cards, I see "doesn't concentrate, can't stay on task, has focusing problems". All I knew growing up was that I seemed to be on a different page than everyone else. I'm the mother of 2 girls. Niki is 21 and I'm soooo proud of her. She is in Military Intelligence with the Army and is fluent in Russian and Spanish. With the physical and mental challenges she faces, she grabs a handful of B Complex and knows she can get through anything. Then, there is Kristina, my 13 year old. Diagnosed at 4 with ADHD, I knew from birth she was different. The doctor put her on Ritalin but it didn't work. We tried something else but she was getting worse. I was in nursing school and studying everything on ADD but having no success. At 7, medication kept her from sleeping so we had to put her on more medicine to sleep. She would disappear in the middle of the night. Often we...
