A Healthier Version of the Shamrock Shake

SHAMROCK SHAKE. If you love these shamrock shakes from McDonalds, but not all the junk that comes with them, we have a healthier alternative. This one tastes like mint ice cream! Nutty Shamrock Shake By Suni Ferrer 1/3 cup plain Greek yogurt 8 oz water (less for thicker) 2 scoops vanilla Shaklee Life mix 1-2 handfuls any greens (spinach, kale, Swiss chard) 12 pistachios A few drops of mint extract to taste or 4-6 fresh mint leaves 4-6 ice cubes stevia to taste Blend without ice first until smooth, then add ice and blend again. You can omit the nuts like we do if you don't like them or can't eat them. Mix Up Your Workout With “Bursts” To Lose Weight More Effectively

How are your workouts going so far this year? Remember back in January when you made yourself the promise to work out on a regular basis to lose weight and get healthier? Have you plateaued yet? Often when we start an exercise routine whether it is walking, aerobics, weights, or whatever, we tend to do the same thing over and over again. We get in a workout rut. Not only are our minds getting bored, but so are our bodies. If you are tired of doing the same old thing week after week, chances are the results you were hoping to see still have not arrived yet. You need some challenges thrown in to challenge not only your muscles, but also your brain. Let’s face it, if you’re bored your motivation to workout will start to fade. Working Out Helps Relieve Anger

Have you ever been so mad you wanted to hurt someone or punch the wall or kick the wastecan into the next county? I think we all have at one time or another. I have found that working out really hard or going for a really brisk walk can really help diffuse my anger and help me to calm down. Exercise gets your body moving, your mind off of yourself more and releases those feel good hormones. So when you feel that rage coming on go work out really hard. You still may be angry when you finish, but at least you will be too tired to act upon it!  Just be sure to warm up for a few minutes first, cool down afterwards and stretch really well. You don't want to be sore or injure yourself.
