How Do I Know If A Detox Or A Cleanse Is Right For Me?

Many people ask the question, “How do I know if a detox or a cleanse is right for me? ” They usually start with the questions of,  “What is a detox?”  “ Why should I do a detox?”   “Can I safely do a detox?” Let’s address the question, “What is a detox?” A detox is where a person restricts their diet for a period of 5-7 days to eating either only certain food groups, such as fruits & vegetables, adding in special cleansing supplements or they can do a radical (& sometimes dangerous) detox restricted to just juice, water and/or herbs.  There are many variations of these detoxes, ranging from healthy to the very dangerous, especially if the person has an underlying health condition or takes medications. Sometimes A Girl Just Needs Chocolate

Sometimes you just want some chocolate. And that's OK, I do, too. As long as you indulge with awareness. If you are wanting a little taste of chocolate, but worry you'll slip off the wagon of healthy eating and end up head first in a vat of chocolate ice cream or a box of cookies, try pairing your chocolate with something healthy. A good example would be strawberries and a little chocolate syrup. I like the Hershey's Simply 5. While it does have sugar in it of course, it doesn't list any artificial ingredients, preservatives, etc. And it's surprisingly low in calories. After washing your organic strawberries - you did buy organic , right? Strawberries are very high in toxic chemicals, so you will always want to go organic with them. After washing them, with leaves still on, cut the leaves off after washing, and drain. Squeeze a little puddle of the Simply 5 chocolate syrup on a small plate and just dip the strawberries in it.  Yum! After all,
