Make Your Own Inexpensive Face And Body Scrub

A good exfoliation can make skin feel smooth and silky because it helps to remove old skin cells that are flaking and just lying there on the surface trapped in oil and debris.

This can clog pores and make skin appear dull.

Using a gentle skin scrub can revive tired, dull skin and smooth dry, rough skin as well as remove pore clogging black heads.

Exfoliating scrubs though can be expensive. They can be harsh on the skin because of the artificial ingredients and dangerous chemicals in them.

They are also an environmental disaster because the plastic beads and other ingredients end up in our water supply and oceans. This pollutes our environment and can kill marine life as they try to eat it.

One simple way to fix all of that is to make your own, safe scrub.

I will share what I use and it's the same one our teens use to help remove blackheads, especially around the nose and T-zone area.

Whether you have oily skin or dry skin - it helps them both and it only costs pennies!

Here is what I use:

1/4 or less cup of white sugar

Small amount of Herbal Multipurpose Cream - also known as "Miracle Cream"

Yes, just plain sugar and a cream known for its healing properties.

In a small bowl add sugar and enough cream to make a thick paste. Mix together well.

Wash face with a gentle cleanser and rinse.

While skin is still damp apply mixture and gently scrub area. Add more water to fingers if necessary. Focus on areas where blackheads are. Always avoid the delicate eye area and any open wounds.

Rinse well, apply favorite moisturizer if desired and enjoy that silky feeling!

This scrub also works great for rough, dry heels and elbows. Any area that need smoothing can benefit from this gentle scrub.

Remember though, not too often. Once a week for most skin types, maybe twice a week if you are really dealing with oily skin that is getting clogged pores.

If acne is a big issue consider trying our special Acne Cream after the scrub.

The easiest way to apply this scrub is right before a shower.

So after washing and rinsing your face, apply the scrub, then hop in the shower and rinse off well.

Much easier than trying to rinse bent over a sink.

I cannot emphasize this "Miracle Cream" enough!

It is great at helping clear acne and smooth dry skin.

It has no oily or greasy residue.

It softens dry, rough skin, soothes sunburn and insect bites, and even helps to soothe achy muscles and joints. Plus much more.

It is definitely a multi-purpose cream.

That is why we call it our "Miracle Cream".

If you'd like to try it you can find it here: Herbal Blend Multi-Purpose Cream

Enjoy your homemade, inexpensive face and body scrub!

The Secret of Basic H® in Your Garden

Summertime is when all of us want to enjoy the beauty and bounty of our gardens – but who wants to spend all their time taking care of them ? Basic-H® has been used for years by farmers and home gardeners alike to reduce the amount of watering time, improve the quality of the soil, and treat for pests. Even in those areas where Basic-H® Soil Conditioner is not available (Pennsylvania, for instance), you can still get great results by using Basic-H®, Basic-G ® and Liqui-Lea ®. The best information we’ve found on using Basic-H in the garden has come from MaryAnn and Mike Mizicko of Vienna, Ohio. Mike is a very successful truck farmer – and Basic-H is his secret! Be careful to note special circumstances, such as whether to spray on foliage, to apply only to the soil around plants, avoid spraying on blooming trees or plants, and other restrictions. Basic-H is a surfactant, not a fertilizer, so don’t use one concentration for all uses, or you will kill the plants you love. Soil P...

Where Are Your Vitamins Sourced From & Why Is It Important?

Do you know where your vitamins are manufactured? Do they do this kind of extensive testing? Is it safe? How do you know? I know, and this is why I only trust Shaklee. WHERE ARE SHAKLEE U.S. SUPPLEMENTS MANUFACTURED/INGREDIENTS SOURCED? Is another question I've received a few times lately. Here's the official reply: With the exception of NutriFeron (Japan) and our Shaklee 180 Meal Bars and Shaklee 180 Snack Bars (Canada), all Shaklee food and nutritional products are manufactured in the United States. We source ingredients worldwide, and whether some come from China, South America, the U.S., Japan, or New Zealand is not necessarily a measure of quality. The Shaklee approach to raw material sourcing for all nutritional ingredients has actually maximized product safety over our 60+ year history. In today’s global marketplace, where ingredients are sourced from worldwide raw material suppliers, we are keenly aware of the need for close oversight. Shaklee R...
