Ear Infections Testimony (1)



I was first introduced to Shaklee about 14 years ago when my son was just under a year old. He was a healthy baby at birth but he quickly developed respiratory illnesses. He was diagnosed with his first ear infection at 8 weeks! Ear and sinus infections became commonplace.

Anyone who has had children with ear infections and has done the midnight runs to the emergency rooms with high fevers and nonstop refills of antibiotics knows of the anxiety and frustration associated with this medical dilemma.

After meeting with pediatric specialists at Huron Valley, St. Joes, Botsford and finally Uof M, I had a chance encounter with a doctor who balanced traditional medicine with a holistic approach to wellness. He explained to me, which made perfect sense, that all of the antibiotics that they had been pumping into my son had actually destroyed his precious little immune system.

His suggestion, coupled with surgical intervention for a  tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy and ear tubes was to  take him off all antibiotics and put him on a natural supplementation program that would rebuild his immune system and allow his body to fight the infections off naturally.  

The first set of vitamins I bought at the health food store, made my son sick to his stomach. I tried them, they made me nauseous too! I was getting frustrated, I then met Linda, a local distributor for Shaklee, she explained to me that Shaklee products were actually food derivatives and that they did not contain the fillers or synthetics found in commercially manufactured supplements.

I tried them, and they worked! No nausea and we could all take them with a light breakfast and keep them down with no side effects! We started him on Liquid Lea, Vitamin C, B Complex (crushed), Immunity I (beta carotene) and soy protein . We dosed him 3 times a day.

After about 2 weeks he showed definite signs of improvement. He started swallowing the supplements at 2 years old, always drinking through a straw to help wash them down. I mixed the protein in applesauce as we tried to avoid all dairy.

And then one day....NO MORE ANTIBIOTICS. The combination of the two approaches was a complete success. I can count the times on one hand that he has been ill in the last 10 years. He is now a healthy teenager.

Testimony: ADD

I'm an adult with ADD but was never diagnosed. Scanning my old report cards, I see "doesn't concentrate, can't stay on task, has focusing problems".
