Shaklee Pure Performance Athletes are London Bound

From the Power of Shaklee 7/2012

SwooshWe’re excited to announce that a total of eight Shaklee-powered athletes will be competing in the 2012 Games in London! Shaklee Sports Nutrition™ is powering our elite athletes and fueling their dreams from start to finish, so that they can train longer, recover faster and perform better to make their record-breaking achievements possible.
Shaklee would like to once again congratulate our Pure Performance Team athletes who have qualified for the Games in London this summer, and introduce you to four more members of our team.
Caryn Davies, Rower, is a two-time Games participant who holds both silver and gold medals. Along with her team, Caryn broke the world record in May 2012 in the preliminary heat at the Rowing World Cup in Lucerne, Switzerland. Always one to push herself, if she ever feels like quitting, Caryn relies on her team. Says Caryn, “Sometimes I realize the ridiculousness of spending hours and hours a day sitting on my butt traveling backwards. But I also know how special it is to have teammates who count on you and care whether or not you show up every morning. That’s what keeps me coming back.”
Eleanor Logan, Rower, took home the gold in Beijing in 2008 and won a silver medal in the pairs competition at the 2012 Samsung World Rowing Cup II.
Both Davies and Logan were on the women's eight team that brought home the gold in Beijing in 2008, and they will be defending their gold medals in London in a few weeks! Watch for them on July 29 and August 2.
Corey Cogdell, International Trapshooter, is headed to the Games for a second time, and for Corey, making history is par for the course. At the 2008 Beijing Games, Cogdell became the first American woman to medal in the sport of trap (shotgun) shooting—a mere two years after she began competing in 2006. Corey loves the Cinch® product line and has lost 15 lbs† so far on the program. Cogdell competes on August 4.
Keith Sanderson. Rapid Fire Pistol Shooter, is a U.S. Marine and two-time Games participant whose final score at June’s qualifying competition tied a world record and secured his spot at the London Games. Sanderson’s swift ascent in the sport of men’s rapid fire pistol shooting included a fifth-place finish in the 2008 Games, and culminated in 2009 when he was the top-ranked shooter in the world. A devastating forearm injury in 2010 cost Sanderson his No. 1 ranking, but with the 2012 London Games on the horizon, and a current standing as the No. 3 men’s rapid fire pistol shooter in the world, Sanderson has redemption in his sights. Sanderson competes August 2-3.

† Results not typical. In a preliminary clinical study of the Cinch Inch Loss Plan, participants on average lost 15.4 pounds and 6.6 inches over 12 weeks.

Testimony: ADD

I'm an adult with ADD but was never diagnosed. Scanning my old report cards, I see "doesn't concentrate, can't stay on task, has focusing problems". All I knew growing up was that I seemed to be on a different page than everyone else. I'm the mother of 2 girls. Niki is 21 and I'm soooo proud of her. She is in Military Intelligence with the Army and is fluent in Russian and Spanish. With the physical and mental challenges she faces, she grabs a handful of B Complex and knows she can get through anything. Then, there is Kristina, my 13 year old. Diagnosed at 4 with ADHD, I knew from birth she was different. The doctor put her on Ritalin but it didn't work. We tried something else but she was getting worse. I was in nursing school and studying everything on ADD but having no success. At 7, medication kept her from sleeping so we had to put her on more medicine to sleep. She would disappear in the middle of the night. Often we

The Secret of Basic H® in Your Garden

Summertime is when all of us want to enjoy the beauty and bounty of our gardens – but who wants to spend all their time taking care of them ? Basic-H® has been used for years by farmers and home gardeners alike to reduce the amount of watering time, improve the quality of the soil, and treat for pests. Even in those areas where Basic-H® Soil Conditioner is not available (Pennsylvania, for instance), you can still get great results by using Basic-H®, Basic-G ® and Liqui-Lea ®. The best information we’ve found on using Basic-H in the garden has come from MaryAnn and Mike Mizicko of Vienna, Ohio. Mike is a very successful truck farmer – and Basic-H is his secret! Be careful to note special circumstances, such as whether to spray on foliage, to apply only to the soil around plants, avoid spraying on blooming trees or plants, and other restrictions. Basic-H is a surfactant, not a fertilizer, so don’t use one concentration for all uses, or you will kill the plants you love. Soil P
