What Is Project MAHMA?
Project MAHMA stands for Moms at Home Making a ... Difference (and a whole lot of money!)
Project MAHMA is a coalition of Shaklee families across North America who stay at home with their kids and earn income by helping others live healthier and more independent lives.

Our host this week is Rick Davila (Senior Coordinator, CA). Rick is a Nutritional Therapist who has been using Shaklee products since 1974. A gifted and engaging communicator, Rick is passionate about sharing Shaklee and mentoring people from all walks of life to build a successful Shaklee business.

Joining Rick this Thursday evening are Betty Hughes, (Senior Executive Coordinator, TN), Carla Clayton (Director, GA), Debra Luther (Associate, GA), Shannon Cox (Distributor, GA) and Steven Wills (Distributor, CA).

Betty was introduced to Shaklee 37 years ago by her brother. She was a stay at home mom of four children at the time and wanted to improve her health. After four months experiencing Shaklee products, she decided to take advantage of the opportunity in order to meet three goals -- pay fall tuition for three of their children; replace her husband’s night club entertainment income and pay off their debt. In 15 months, she accomplished two of those goals and grew her business to Master Coordinator with 15 first level Leaders.

Betty took a sabbatical for the last 7 years to take care of her mom who passed this year at the age of 93. She is now rebuilding her business and was recognized as a Million Dollar Income Earner and Star Achiever in Nashville this year.

Carla was introduced to Shaklee products and opportunity over 20 years ago and while she enjoyed Shaklee products she wasn't interested in the opportunity when it was first shared with her. In 2004, she left her teaching career to stay home with her two girls and began building her Shaklee business. She reached the rank of Senior Coordinator and enjoyed recognition as a Star Achiever for two years. Circumstances changed and Carla put Shaklee on hold to go back to work full time. With the launch of Shaklee 180™, Carla left her corporate job, doubled her Shaklee income, and once again earned Star Achiever recognition. She is excited about building a team of passionate, mission-minded moms who want to make a difference.

Debra is a wife, mom of three, and court reporter who has loved Shaklee for 20 years. Tune in to hear Debra’s amazing story…including how Shaklee 180™ made it possible for her to make a life-changing shift.

Shannon is the mother of two and the grandmother of five. She is retired and recently started her Shaklee business. She began using Shaklee products this past May, and as she began to experience good results with the products and learn more about the company, she decided to attend the Nashville conference with Carla Clayton and Debra Luther. After Nashville she sponsored as a Distributor with a GOLD Plus Pak and last Friday she sponsored her first new Members! She is excited about Shaklee and the future.

Steve has been living in Southern California and working as a massage therapist since 1994. Prior to 1994 he was a firefighter in the US Navy where he was introduced to Shaklee. Even though he’d been a long time product user, he only began sharing the products and opportunity three years ago and since that time his Shaklee business has provided him with consistent extra income. Now Steve is ready to take his business to the next level and transition out of his current career as pursues his passion for bicycle travel. Tune in to hear more of Steve’s inspiring story.

The Secret of Basic H® in Your Garden

Summertime is when all of us want to enjoy the beauty and bounty of our gardens – but who wants to spend all their time taking care of them ? Basic-H® has been used for years by farmers and home gardeners alike to reduce the amount of watering time, improve the quality of the soil, and treat for pests. Even in those areas where Basic-H® Soil Conditioner is not available (Pennsylvania, for instance), you can still get great results by using Basic-H®, Basic-G ® and Liqui-Lea ®. The best information we’ve found on using Basic-H in the garden has come from MaryAnn and Mike Mizicko of Vienna, Ohio. Mike is a very successful truck farmer – and Basic-H is his secret! Be careful to note special circumstances, such as whether to spray on foliage, to apply only to the soil around plants, avoid spraying on blooming trees or plants, and other restrictions.
