Shaklee Cares® for Oklahoma
Dear Shaklee Family,
Our hearts and our prayers are with those in the Moore and Newcastle, Oklahoma communities devastated by the recent EF5 tornado. We grieve with them the loss of life, of home and of the feeling of safety and well-being that we so often take for granted. Our thoughts and gratitude are also with those first responders who continue to help in the rescue and recovery effort.
Our first concern has been for our Shaklee Family Members who may have suffered loss, and Shaklee Cares®, our non-profit organization dedicated to relief in times of natural disaster, has been reaching out to determine the safety of our Shaklee Family Members and to do all that we can to help.
Here is what we know so far, and what we will be doing over the next several weeks to support those whose lives have been impacted.
We have been in touch with our Business Leaders near the affected communities. We are greatly relieved that all are safe; however, communications in the area are down and they are still attempting to reach members of their groups in these communities. We have learned of one Shaklee Family Member who has tragically lost her home, and Shaklee Cares will be providing that family with financial assistance.
In the meantime, we are preparing to work with our leaders to distribute Shaklee Cares Disaster Relief Packs to those who are in need. At this time, the recommended Relief Packs are those that are targeted to supporting first responders - especially the First Responder On-Duty Pack. If you are in the Oklahoma area and would like to assist in the relief distribution effort, please contact Nel Prentiss directly at nprentiss@shaklee.com.
Shaklee Cares is also ready to accept grant applications for cash relief, to help those who need financial assistance.
